Strength comes in many forms....
Hello all. I know I sort of just disappeared during Unit 1, but I am back. I am going to be playing major catch up over the next couple weeks. I am finally getting some of my energy back and looking forward to continuing with the course. I was actually considering withdrawing from my courses, but like the title states, strength comes in many forms. My education adviser gave me a major boost and renewed my optimism about pushing forward. I am excited to get started and read everyone's blogs!
Quote of the day:
Nichole,
ReplyDeleteI Love your quote and if you don't mind, I would like to save it so that I can refer to it in times of need. :)
Is everything alright? I can relate to the idea of playing catch-up in the semester, but at least it's still early on. I'm glad you decided to stick with us, and the academic advisers at Kaplan are friendly and genuinely caring people from what I've experienced - maybe I should get in touch with them.. I struggle a lot with effective time management and find myself getting caught up in life's happenings - I have a feeling this class will work wonders for us and I hope you continue to stay on track because I know that once all this college is finished you will be great at whatever it is you choose to do because you are driven to keep going. Best of luck and I look forward to reading more from you!
Sure...hold onto the quote. I love quotes! You will see me post them a lot. I have been through a lot in my 33 years of life and quotes have always been inspiring to me--they really make you think. As you know from my introduction, I have been in remission for a little over 2.5 years now. Losing my spleen has caused me to have a very weak immune system, but I am feeling a little better with each day. I agree it is very easy to get caught up in the everyday obstacles life throws our way, but I am sure everything will work out for you. If you ever need any help or someone just to talk to I am a good listener! I wish you the best of luck as well!
ReplyDeleteNichole,
ReplyDeleteSince life throws us many curve balls, I truly appreciate your optimism and the quote you posted. It is important to keep an open and positive mind-especially when things get difficult. As tempting as it can be to allow the negativity to consume and affect your emotions, a strong person can sift through what is really important and what isn't. As much as I would like to say that I am like that, I am not-not all the time. It is a battle I face everyday since I wear my emotions on my sleeve and easily allow them to take over instead of logic. When it gets tough, think of the long-term goals you are trying to achieve as your motivation or create mini-goals that push your towards that larger goal. Many times that helps keep you positive while also giving you a sense of accomplishment. Good luck in all of your endeavors! I look forward to reading more from you!
